10th Annual Kingston Roller Ski Race

Well folks, the time has come for that annual fall ritual - the Kingston Roller Ski Race.  Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Kingston Roller Ski Race has become, to many, the end of the training season and the start of the nordic ski racing season.  It represents that time of the season where we begin to think about waxing our skis, stone grinding them if necessary, planning our racing schedule and, of course, our training schedule so we can peak for those big races.

The 10th anniversary edition of the Kingston Roller Ski Race, scheduled for Sunday,, November 24th, will not disappoint anyone.  Our sponsors are lined up, our food is being prepared, the course is being prepped, and our t-shirts are being printed (hopefully, no problems like last year).

Pretty much everything remains the same as in the past - except for the cost.  We did have to raise the price $5 to cover insurance.  I've tried to keep the cost constant. reasonable and low for as long as possible.  I hope this doesn't present a problem for anyone.  We have our usual 12 noon start with the 5k classic, followed by  the 2K novice race at 12:30pm; and, finishing with the 10K skate race at 1:15pm.  If you have not received an application, please contact me at dgmalia@earthlink.net and I'll email you one.  We'll be printing between 50 -75 t-shirts.  To guarantee yourself a shirt and the right size, please preregister as soon as possible.

High Peaks Cyclery from Lake Placid will be on hand with amazing prices on everything ski and ski related.  If there is something special you would like or just want to make sure they have the exact ski, boot, or pole that you would like, give them a call before hand so they can be sure to bring what you want.

Over the next week, I'll be posting info about the sponsors (they're listed on the side of this blog), any special offers the sponsors might be offering, and team championships.  So keep checking back every few days to keep up on the upcoming race.

Hope to see everyone on the 24th
